We’re excited to announce that the Fall 2025 Academic Affairs In-Service is scheduled for Wednesday, August 13th!

If you’re new to the college, welcome aboard! In-Service is a special time each semester where we come together as a community to prepare, plan, and engage in professional development.

The day kicks off with a college-wide breakfast buffet in the College Center at 8:00 AM.  Then join us at 8:45 AM in Auditorium L110 for the President’s Address.

The program will then continue in Iroquois Room D152 at 9:30 AM.

This year, we’re thrilled to welcome Denzel Wilson, a Kankakee native and renowned AI expert, as our keynote speaker. Denzel will provide an insightful overview of the rapidly evolving AI landscape, with a special focus on its impact on higher education. He’ll also lead interactive, hands-on activities designed to be both engaging and enlightening.

The afternoon will feature a variety of informative breakout sessions designed to inspire and equip you for success in the upcoming semester.

Additionally, Thursday, August 14th, has been set aside as a “preparation day”, with all meetings scheduled and time given to further prepare for the new term. Lunch will be provided.
